Things have been busy around the LMM office today as phones rang with inquiring supporters and many first time callers. All wanting to know just how bad things were in Haiti and how they can help. In addition, we were steadily working with national, regional and local media trying to share what information we had while sharing our mission with as many people as possible.
We are deeply saddened over the significant number of deaths and untold injuries that our friends in Haiti have to deal with. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May the love of Christ be manifest to this nation as we rally our volunteers and supporters to respond to their needs.
On Sunday morning Mickey Stokes, our Director of Logistics, will be in PaP to meet with Drs. Morquette and Walwel (who we are still waiting to hear from) assess their needs. By the middle of next week I hope to have a synopsis of our plan and a calendar of dates to share with each of you.
The challenge is just beginning for each of us and our Haitian neighbors; please continue in prayer.
