Public Policy Centre on Conflict Resolution
The Dispute Board Federation has been involved in immediate Post-Conflict Dispute Resolution in developing countries for many years and with our newest office we have endowed and moved our Public Policy Centre on Conflict Resolution to Singapore. The Dispute Board Federation feels strongly that future conflicts can be avoided, peace maintained, and corruption lessened through the effective study and advocacy of dispute resolution techniques, the promotion of dispute boards to lessen corruption in infrastructure project construction and by assisting developing coutries in prompt, effective and corruption free redevelopment.
It is with pleasure that we announce that Professor Paul Collier, CBE has joined our distinguished panel of advisors. Professor Collier is Professor of Economics, Fellow of St Anthony's College, and Director of the Centre for the Study of African Economics at Oxford University. He was formerly director of Development Research at the World Bank and advisor to the British Government's Commission on Africa. In our next issue we will be interviewing Professor Collier both on his work as well as efforts in this expanding area of dispute resolution and prevention.

FOCUS: Maxwell Chambers - Singapore
Singapore's success as an international centre for Alternative Dispute

though the opening of Maxwell Chambers. Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security,

leading destination in Asia for alternative dispute resolution." The Dispute Board Federation has now partnered
with Maxwell Chambers in an effort to raise the consciousness of
ADR and in particular Dispute Boards in the region. The DBF now joins other distinguished "partners" in Maxwell
Chambers such as The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), The
Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SiARB ), The International Centre for
Dispute Resolution® (ICDR), The International Court of Arbitration of the
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), World Intellectual Property
Organization (WIPO), The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
