THE NEW YEAR
The Dispute Board Federation starts 2010 with the opening of its newest office in Singapore. Located at Six Battery Road, Raffles Place we are now positioned to assist the needs of the entire region including Australasia, South East Asia and points west. Jonathan Varoqui, who many of you know as our Director of Programmes has taken on new responsibilities as the Manager of this new office and he will be headquartered there.
In addition to this news the DBF is also proud to announce that four new members have been added to its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Advisory Council. These are Waleed Hammad, Vice President - Corporate Procurement, Abu Dhabi Ports Company who will Chair the Council and Dr Imad Al-Jamal, the Vice Chairman of the Higher Technical Consultative Committee of the UAE
Contractors' Association, and the Managing Director of the
International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Centre (IDRAAC), in Dubai. Dr Al-Jamal is also in charge of the DBF's efforts to expand its Contractor outreach in the region. We are pleased to announce additional new members Emhemmed Ghula, the Libya Projects Director at Al Maabar International Investment Company, and Dr Hassan Ali Radhi, the founder and Managing Director of Hassan Radhi & Associates Law Firm in Bahrain.
The DBF is grateful for all the help and assistance given it in 2009 and wishes all of our members and supporters the best in 2010.
