Koc University Overview
Welcome to the
Dispute Board Federation

The Dispute Board Federation is  very  pleased to  announce that  the  location of  this year's Winter Symposium will be at
Koç University.  Koç University is a private, nonprofit institution, founded in 1993 and located in Istanbul, Turkey. The University is supported by the financial resources of the Vehbi Koç Foundation, set up by Vehbi Koç, a leading Turkish businessman, "to serve humanity by increasing the number of people who can be of service to the Turkish nation," and is committed to the pursuit of excellence in both teaching and research.

In October 2000 Koç University moved to its permanent campus located on a hill overlooking the city and is shown in the photo above.  It is an ideal location for our Winter Symposium and the DBF looks forward to working with the University in putting on this truly international event.

UPDATE

Registration for the Winter Symposium opens 1 September 2009.  This year's Winter  Symposium brings together experts from 15 countries who will explore ADR and Dispute Board topics from an infrastructure development perspective.

This 4 day event includes lectures, break-out sessions, networking, and discussion groups all centered on "The Role of ADR & Dispute Boards In The Effective Rebuilding of Immediate Post-Conflict Countries".

The Symposium will probe the relationships between all of these subjects in the hope of arriving at the optimum strategy for use by multilateral development banks, contractors, employers, and insurers in the resolution of disputes on infrastructure projects and the effective delivery of those projects within the necessary time constraints and within the prescribed budgets.
