Make sure your business or fair doesn't experience a lapse in membership benefits, including a free listing in the 2012 Date List and Membership Directory. In order to ensure the book's availability at Convention, we have earlier printing deadlines and there is little room to add late renewals.  

Service Members: Your 2012 Membership Renewal Invoice and membership dues were due on October 31. If you want to be included in the book, you must renew online or call the office to make arrangements by Friday, or you will be dropped. 

Fairs: Your Fair Update Form was due October 31 with a signature guaranteeing payment. Your fair will be billed in February. If you have not returned your paperwork, please do so by Friday. 

Submit your entries for the 49th annual Western Fairs Association Achievement Awards Program. The goal of the program is to recognize excellence and share new successful ideas and programs, as many of the best ideas are inspired from others. Winners will be featured in a free online resource library and members can leisurely peruse entries in a dedicated room at the annual WFA Convention and Trade Show January 8-11. Download the complete program guide and submit your entries to the San Diego Fair by November 14.

Sing the praises of someone who has made a significant contribution to the fair industry with the WFA Hall of Fame Award. Honoring distinguished achievement for outstanding contribution to the fair industry, the award is presented at the annual Convention and Trade Show among the recipient's colleagues, friends and family members.  

Nominations and required support materials are due by Nov. 14. Nominate someone you know today! 

Western Fairs Association recently become aware of several hotel and membership scams that you need to be aware of to protect yourself.

1. Several companies have called our members and offered a great rate at the Anaheim Marriot. Avoid this scam by never giving your credit card information to someone that called you. Call the hotel directly or use the link on our website. 
2. Members have also received emails offering great rates at overflow hotels. WFA does not have agreements with any hotel other than the Anaheim Marriot and there is plenty of space at an already great rate of $99.
