Make Your Voice Heard
It's election time again and there are several Service Member Board positions up for re-election. Executive Chair Pat Kress' (PK Consulting) term will expire at the 2012 WFA Convention in Anaheim. Pat is eligible to serve two three-year terms and is seeking re-election. The Service Member Executive Board is a graduated three-year term and if re-elected Pat would be seated in the 2nd vice chair position. Ronn Brookens, Jackson Enterprise's, will move into the chair position and Rick Graves, Medical & Safety Management, will move into the 1st vice chair position leaving the 2nd vice chair position vacant. Service member directors act as the liaison between division chairs and the WFA board. Nominations for the executive chair require five signatures from members in any division who are in good standing with the association.
There are also three division chair positions open for election. The Commercial Division, currently held by Ashley Murray, M&M Marketing; Food & Beverage Division, currently held by Judy Henbury, J&M Concessions; and Services and Suppliers Division, currently held by Suzanne Haas, UMS Banking. All three are seeking re-election. Division chairs serve a two-year term acting as the liaison between their division and the Service Member Executive Board. All members within the division in good standing with the association are eligible to serve. Division chairs are eligible to serve as many terms as elected. Nominations require three signatures from WFA members in the same division to be placed on the ballot. Individual nominations will be accumulated to qualify nominee if necessary.
Nomination forms for both elections are due back to the WFA office no later than October 31. Ballots, If necessary, will be mailed to members within that division and will be due no later than November 15. For questions regarding WFA elections please call Meetings Manger Liz Waxstein at (916) 927-3100 or lizw@fairsnet.org.
