The 88th Annual Convention and Trade Show Provides a Great Start to the 2011 Season
The WFA Convention and Trade Show started off strong on Sunday, January 16 with cutting-edge programming and a well-attended (and competitive!) bowling tournament at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. Success continued through Monday with keynote speaker Huell Howser, host of California Golden Fairs, and a sold out Trade Show. With a reception every night, entertainment showcasing and educational programming, the Convention and Trade Show was full of training opportunities, networking events and fun. It ended with the Industry Awards Dinner on Wednesday where attendees heard from the Hall of Fame winners as well as the Barham and Merrill award recipients.
This premier event would not be possible without our generous supporters. Review the list and support them when you can. If you are a member of WFA, be sure you check out the Convention materials posted in the Learning Center of the member-only Community. And, don't forget to follow up with the Trade Show exhibitors and Showcase acts.
A full report on the WFA Convention and Trade Show will be available in the spring issue of the Fair Dealer!
