confirmation retreat 
Greetings!

 

16 of our 18 confirmands joined with other youth from churches throughout the Presbytery for a retreat at Calvin Center this past weekend.  The confirmands developed their corporate statement of faith and began to craft their personal faith statements.  Our confirmands are rapidly approaching the day that they'll be accepted into membership at APC. They're working and preparing to continue their faith journey as adults in our church.  I'm proud of the work that they're doing and I'm looking forward to Youth Sunday when they'll be confirmed.

 

Youth Sunday is April 29.  I encourage you to contact me if you'd like to help in planning this event.

 

We also had a great turnout for our speaker during Youth Group last night.  Jo Abney and her team provided some great information to parents and youth and we thank her for coming to discuss the very important topic of substance abuse.

Congratulations to Elizabeth S. who was voted by her cheer squad to receive the Cougar Award; and was also awarded the PTSA's honor for highest GPA in athletics at Chattahoochee!

We patiently wait for the end of Lent and the joy that Easter morning brings to all Christians.  We do not need to see to believe, we have only to believe, and then our eyes will be open to the joy that the Holy Spirit brings.
