Greetings!
Summer Mission trips are a highlight of the Youth Ministry year; and summer 2012 will be no exception. We have planned three wonderful trips that will allow our youth to spend a week of their summer break immersed in service to Christ.
Details and dates are highlighted in the Mission & Volunteer section of this newsletter, along with online signup information. We hope that many of our youth will join us for these trips, which are truly life altering for all who participate.
Another summer tradition for the APC Youth Ministry is Destination Unknown. This trip will take place from July 26 - 28. Details can be found here.
In Christ,

Connecting at Youth Group
Church isn't always about worshiping God in a solemn, prayerful setting. Sometimes it's about coming together for fellowship and fun to celebrate our common faith. Sunday night Youth Group is designed to help our middle and high schoolers connect with each other and with Christ by participating in non-worship activities. We are helping our youth develop a foundation of faith and a group of friends that will last a lifetime.
Youth Group Sunday, November 13
Middle School Night (6th - 8th grade only) 5:30-7:30pm
Youth Group Sunday, November 20
Food for Thought - Please begin saving grocery coupons for this special evening and outing to teach hunger awareness. Participants are asked to bring $5 for this event. Dinner will not be served tonight, so please eat before you arrive.

High School Retreat November 11-13
We will be departing APC at 6:30pm this Friday, November 11. Please arrive 15 minutes early for carpool assignments. We will return to church by noon on Sunday.
If you have not made your $45 payment for this retreat, please get in touch with Kelly Edwards asap. |
Sunday School for Middle & High School
We encourage all youth to attend Sunday School on Sunday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 am. Our Sunday School classes meet in the upstairs youth area of the education building.
We're excited to report that the Middle School class for 6th and 7th graders has gotten so big that they had to move to the Youth Lounge. Come join us and make some new friends at APC!

Mission Giving Opportunity:
kidz2leaders, inc. is a Marietta-based ministry that works with prisoners' children in the metro-Atlanta area.
Children are introduced to the ministry by attending a one-week summer camp, Camp Hope and then participate in year-round programming.
This year, kidz2leaders is looking for individuals and families to sponsor a Camp Hope family's Christmas dinner by donating $50. Contributions will provide our Camp Hope families with a $50 Kroger gift certificate that will be given to them at the annual hope4christmas party.
Donations can be made to kidz2leaders, inc. and mailed to 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068 or online. Summer Mission Trips |

Support Your Youth Ministry Friends |
This segment of our newsletter highlights activities that our APC Youth are participating in. If your child is in a play, a sporting event, a dance recital, etc. and would like to have his/her friends come out to watch, please send a submission to Allison Neal for inclusion in this article.
