5th sunday - october 31

cider and donutsOctober 31st is our next 5th Sunday.  Since it's Halloween we thought we'd do something a little different.  With so many people in the community out trick or treating we wanted to do something nice for them so we are going to have "Bridge Rest Stops" in some key areas around Allegan.  We have 5 so far:
  • Downtown
  • Northward Elementary
  • Westward Elementary
  • Dawson Elementary
  • Pine Trails Elementary
We will have sign up sheets so everyone can pick a location to be at on that night.  We are asking the people at each location to provide at least the following:
  • Cider
  • Donuts
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Candy for the trick-or-treaters
  • The Bridge will also be providing glow necklaces for the kids at each location
The time will be approximately from 5pm-8pm.

NOTE: We will NOT have a morning worship service on that day!

If you have a lot of trick-or-treaters in your neighborhood let me know and we can add your neighborhood to the list.

starting point class

bridge process

We're offering another Starting Point class on Sunday, November 7 @ 2pm.

For those who don't know, our Starting Point class is the closest thing we will ever have to a membership class (since the Bridge doesn't have membership).  But Starting Point is essential for our people to knowing our peculiarities as a church and where we are heading in the mission God has called us to.  It's also a good time to ask questions and get to know each other.

If you would like to be a part of this Starting Point class please email me  and let me know so I have an accurate count for materials.

LSPC Logo
Would you like to make a difference in the lives of families right here in Allegan County? Lakeshore Pregnancy Center is looking for volunteers to work with our clients. There is an evening training coming up in November. Please call 269-686-7111 or e-mail Rachel at rachel.hill@lpcenters.com, but don't delay, training starts in early November. (There are also volunteer opportunities that do not require you to take the training, and we would love to talk to you about those too!)

sunday a.m. talk time

big questions
Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 before the worship service there is a group that meets in the high school cafeteria to wrestle through practical issues and questions of faith and how our faith applies in the real world where we all live.

If you have questions or doubts or just enjoy intelligent discussion, you're welcome to come talk with us!

What is the Bridge?

The Bridge is a church in Allegan, Michigan that is for the beaten-up, the burned-out, and the just plain bored. If you spend time with us, you will hear that a lot - it is a central idea of how we want to interact with the community around us.

We want to be a place that reflects the love of Jesus.  Everyone is welcome, with no prerequisites of church background or prior belief.  Bring your faith and your doubt, your joy and your tears, your praise and your selfishness. We're not perfect, but we'll love you as best as we can.

Pray

________________________________________

Please pray for:

for us as we look to the future and how God would like us to multiply.

for new leaders to emerge among us.

for more and more people to become dissatisfied with just sitting in their seats and want to "get in the game".

Please pray for us too as we get ready to enter our third year as a church and we begin adjust our budget to operate without any outside support from other churches.
