bridge to freedom retreat

freedom

Do you struggle with fear, depression, habits you can't break, thoughts or inner voices you can't elude, or sinful behavior you can't escape?

Do you feel powerless in your spiritual battles?  Do you feel trapped by feelings from your past?  Do you want to live free but don't know how to get there?  Do you want to become better equipped to help others move toward freedom?

God has made every provision for you to be alive and free in Christ!  Come explore how this can be true for you and those you want to minister to by joining us at the Bridge to Freedom Retreat!

The material is based out of Neil Anderson's books: Victory Over the Darkness, The Bondage Breaker, and his Freedom in Christ small group study.

starting point class

bridge process

We're planning on offering another Starting Point class for our new folks (and maybe some that have been around a while) who haven't had a chance to take it yet.

The class will be held on Sunday, November 7 @ 2pm.

For those who don't know, our Starting Point class is the closest thing we will ever have to a membership class (since the Bridge doesn't have membership).  But Starting Point is essential for our people to knowing our peculiarities as a church and where we are heading in the mission God has called us to.  It's also a good time to ask questions and get to know each other.

If you would like to be a part of this Starting Point class please email me  and let me know so I have an accurate count for materials.

kidmo leader training

kidmo logo

KIDMO is an interactive multimedia-based curriculum for grades 1 - 5.  Being interactive means that the DVD does all the heavy lifting of teaching and you get to have fun and interact with the kids.

KIDMO comes complete with lesson plans, leader questions, and game suggestions is so easy to use, so you'll spend no time preparing, and more time making an impact with the kids from the Bridge.

If you love being with kids this is a great opportunity.

***WE ARE HAVING A BRIEF TRAINING AFTER THE WORSHIP SERVICE THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LEADING KIDMO.***

We have had a lot of requests, so we are putting together another order for Bridge t-shirts.  We'll take orders for the next two weeks, with the order going to the printing company on October 4th.

Anna Andrus will have an order form and the color choices on the resource table for the next two weeks.  Checks can be written to Great Lakes Graphix and all payments can be given to Anna.

Pray

Prayer2

________________________________________

Please continue to pray for:

Greg Howard's sister, Georgette, who is still so sick.

The Russo family with Sue Lynn back in the hospital.

Kandi Gibson who is in serious condition after a car accident.

So many other families who are struggling relationally, financially and spiritually.

________________________________________

Please pray also for the Bridge as we look to the future and how God would like us to multiply.

Please pray for us too as we get ready to enter our third year as a church and we begin adjust our budget to operate without any outside support from other churches.

~Roger

What is the Bridge?

The Bridge is a church in Allegan, Michigan that is for the beaten-up, the burned-out, and the just plain bored. If you spend time with us, you will hear that a lot - it is a central idea of how we want to interact with the community around us.

We want to be a place that reflects the love of Jesus.  Everyone is welcome, with no prerequisites of church background or prior belief.  Bring your faith and your doubt, your joy and your tears, your praise and your selfishness. We're not perfect, but we'll love you as best as we can.
