How many hours have I spent telling God all that I want to do for Him? We love to make our plans based on what we feel needs to be done and where we think things are going and then we
pray and ask God to bless our efforts and to help us accomplish our
goals. (why wouldn't He? We're doing it for Him, right?)
And then we wonder why we don't see God's power in what we're doing.
When we do the
work of God in our own strength and wisdom, we'll only get what we
can do in our own creativity and hard work, we'll never get to see God-sized things in what we do!

| In last week's E-news, I asked for feedback on how things are are going with a couple of the challenges I laid down for you. Since then I heard from approximately...ONE PERSON! Now, I'm sure it just slipped your mind and you are so eager to share with us all the amazing insights you're gaining. So, how's it going with the: - The, "God, let me see what You see" challenge. What has God shown you?
And... - How is God calling you to be a missionary in Allegan or elsewhere?

| Grocery Drive
July 5th & 12th
| 
We have a few families that could use a little help with groceries this month.
So, we are going to be collecting food for the next 2 weeks to help them out.
We're looking for non-perishable food (good stuff no lima beans or canned spinach). We'll have a side table set up to put the stuff you bring in on. We'll distribute the food after July 5.

Our next 5th Sunday is coming up at the end of August and we'd like to know if you all have anyone in your lives who could use our help. Think about: - Widows
- Single moms and dads
- The elderly
- Someone who is out of work
- People who are dealing with health issues
We have several weeks to come up with ideas so let me know if you think of anyone. __________________________ |
 | Prayer

I have a friend that I went to high school with, whose son
came home last week on leave from the army, and was starting a bonfire, and has
1st/2nd degree burns on his face and 2nd/3rd
degree burns on his arm, hand and leg (all on right side) His name is
Jeremy. He met with the
burn surgeon last Thursday but I don't have an update yet. Please pray for Jeremy!
