This Sunday
|
This week we continue our 6 week series on Reggie McNeal's book "The Present Future" and the Church's journey back to Biblical effectiveness and cultural relevance. _______________>
WEEK #2 Shifting from church growth to Kingdom growth
Wrong Question: How do we grow this church?
Right Question:
How do we transform our community?
_______________>
John 4:35-36 You know the saying, 'Four months between
planting and harvest.' But I say, wake up and look around. The fields
are already ripe* for harvest.36 The
harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people
brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the
harvester alike!

This Week in Kidmo!
|
|
Sunday, June 14 Episode #3: Ephesians 4:2 Be patient - Dealing with difficult people
BEEFESIANS Howdy Pardner! Cowboy Johnny Rogers has saddled up a real humdinger for you in what will be the "meatiest" KIDMO yet - BEEFESIANS.
Deep in the heart of the old west, Johnny strikes the mother lode, full
of dandy nuggets to help us behave Ephesians span. You'll unravel the
mystery of Billy Burdock Beefesian with the help of Pappy the Prospector and Blacksmith Betty. And who knew cows could be full of so much, well,...wisdom, as you find out from Bessy the talking cow and don't skip Bovine University. Put it all together and you'll discover why the book of Ephesians has so much "BE" in it. God teaches us to BE LONG, BE LIEVE, BE PATIENT, BE HAVE and BE STRONG.
So come on! Watch out for that branding iron and join us 'round the campfire!

 | A "Thank You" from Sylvia's Place
| The Bridge, As the safe house manager for Sylvia's Place, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work that The Bridge did for Sylvia's Place. Your volunteers have made our agency so beautiful and welcoming. Every time I come to work, I am just overwhelmed by the generosity and appreciation in my heart when I look around and see everything you have done for us. A simple thank you doesn't seem enough. When the women and children come here, they are going through a lot of transition with different emotions and actions. It is a scary place to be not knowing where this change will take them. By having our facility warm and welcoming, means so much to take the edge off (this is a quote from a resident) and your willingness to come and help us do the best job we can do from an agency standpoint and all of us offering support to our residents in ways that you may not have even known you have offered support. I just wanted to share our heartfelt thanks; our grounds are beautiful, our floor is beautiful, our decks are beautiful. Thank you so much from all of us here at Sylvia's Place. God Bless, Rosalee Norman Safe House Manager Sylvia's Place

 | LifeWalk Lakeshore Pregnancy Center of Allegan's annual
fundraiser June 20th
|
From Rachel Hill, Director
Lakeshore Pregnancy Center of Allegan's annual
fundraiser LifeWalk is right around the corner!! LifeWalk is
June 20th at the park on the corner of Marshall (M89) and Fifth
Streets. (One of the parks that The Bridge cleaned up back in April...thank
you so much...this was a big help to us too, as we usually have to rake it
before LifeWalk, but thanks to you...we will not have to rake this year!)
The walk will begin at 9am, with registration beginning at 8:30am. It is
a two mile walk, and since it is a fundraiser for the pregnancy center we do
ask the walkers to get sponsors. All the money raised will stay right her
in Allegan! LifeWalk is a fun family event, with a praise team, games for
the kids, and of course food! Rachel would love to see a big representation
from The Bridge!!
