Easter is all about Jesus' resurrection, but what's the big deal and does it even matter to us in 2009?
Paul answers this question in
1 Corinthians 15:
"If Christ is not raised, your faith is
worthless; you are still in your sins . . . we are of all men most
to be pitied."

Shine Under Concert in Allegan

Saturday, April 11
Griswold Auditorium
Shine Under is made up of 3 young artists
from Allegan, and one member, from NY. They currently reside in Nashville TN
and are working hard to make progress in the music industry, they have recently
signed with a label, and produced their first CD. They bring a high
energy, positive message to their fans that are growing in numbers every time
they listen to their new CD "No Place like Home". Sean
Rogers, the founder and leader is intentional about making a positive impact to
the general Pop Rock music market and produce songs that are uplifting,
positive, and fun.
It will be a fun night and a night
where local youth can see what others from their community are doing with their
God given talents in a positive way.
The proceeds from the concert will be going to a local
charity. It is also a sponsored event by Big Brother/Big Sisters offering
free admission to the "Littles" who come with their
"Bigs".

Tuesday Night Prayer meetings/walks
7-8pm starting at the Lakeshore Pregnancy Center on Chestnut.
Bring a jacket and your walking shoes because as the weather gets nicer we plan to get out of the building and walk as we pray on Tuesday evenings.
"Walkin' Wednesdays"
Ladies meet at the sports complex at
8:00am on Wednesdays for a time of walking, talking, and encouraging one
another.
Sunday Morning Prayer walk
9:45am in Allegan High School before the worship service.

Bridge Kids
|
Bridge Kids (K-4th grades) are still looking for another teacher (or two) and some more helpers on Sunday mornings. The curriculum is great! Just come in Sunday morning and get your detailed lesson plan that tells you exactly what the lesson is and what the teaching points are. Enjoy the exciting, funny, informative and interactive multimedia DVD's for the Bible lesson. Afterward use the "Q-Cards" with discussion questions to lead the kids into a deeper understanding and application of what they learned that day. All this with no preparation necessary earlier in the week!
