Gemuetlichkeit Days
Gemuetlichkeit Days is the annual festival held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and beloved by everyone who attends. From the coronation of the King and Queen, to the parade on the final day, this is the festival that everyone waits for each year.

On Saturday, we will create pet rocks, have some tye dye fun and enjoy an 80's dance and costume contest in the evening. The 80's not your thing? September 06 - November 01, 2012 - Watertown Citizen's Police Academy
Our 2012 Citizen's Police Academy is accepting applications at this time. The program is free and the requirements are pretty easy, 18 yrs or older, live or work in Watertown (though exceptions are made on this one) and no major criminal background. We meet every Thursday night for 10 weeks starting September 6, 2012 at 6:30pm and go until about 9 or 9:30pm. This is for people of all ages. There is lecture, class demonstrations and hands on activities. This program is designed to give citizens a look behind the scenes of our police department and really get to know what we do, why we do it and who we are as a department and individuals.

Vetro Winery is hosting this event to benefit Special Olympics.
Form a team - play some kickball - make a difference!
- Designate a team captain and gather 7-8 kickball players for your team. Teams will play a four inning game of kickball at Vetro Winery, Sanctuary Ridge. Each team member will help raise funds for Special Olympics.
- Have your team captain visit www.vetrowine.com and submit a team registration form to Vetro Winery to register your team and set up a game time.
- Collect donations from family and friends for Special Olympics.
- Pick a theme for your team and come in a costume to Vetro Winery on Saturday, September 8 to play some kickball!

September 22, 2012 - Rockman Challenge
 The Rockman Challenge is a sprint triathlon with a twist. Paddle on the Rock River, bike in Jefferson County, then run through the woods is the triathlon. A military style obstacle course with drill sergeants at the end provides the twist. It is a one of a kind event held in Watertown, Wis.
The event will be Saturday, September 22, 2012 beginning at 9:30am. Participants can go solo or with a partner. Groups of up to four members can compete as a team. Registration is limited to the first 500 entries.
Registration begins on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Early registration is an affordable $55. Registration prices will increase after Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Rockman Challenge benefits Bethesda Lutheran Communities. Bethesda offers services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, including a variety of residential settings, supported-living programs, employment assistance, camps and outreach services.

September 22, 2012 - Mason Jar Jamboree
Immerse yourself in a day of local history at the Mason Jar Jamboree! The event will be held near the farm buildings located on the property and will feature live acoustic music, a historical presentation on the farm, a demonstration of traditional log building techniques and children's activities. The goal is to raise funds for the upcoming restoration project of the original Mason log house. It is a two-story log structure from the 1850's, built by the family of Elias Mason. This is the first step in a long-range plan to preserve and improve this unique Jefferson County Park.
11am - 4pm - Food will be provided for purchase 11am - Presentation on history of Mason Farm log cabin 12pm - Demonstration on traditional log building 1-4pm - Music Kids activities will occur throughout the event.

September 22, 2012 - Arts and Sparks in the Park
Presented by the Loeb-Lorman Metals and the Fort Atkinson Arts  Council. This event combines a unique live action Welding Rodeo and a Fine Arts and Crafts Fair. Watch 8 teams of welders and artists put their skills to the test in this competition, to transform metal scrap into public sculpture. Spectators can bid on sculptures at the end of the Rodeo in the Silent Auction. During the day at the Fine Arts and Crafts Fair, browse the creations of quality artists and craftsmen. Children activities include Kids Creativity Tent, by building their own "scrap sculpture using recycled household materials. Live music, food,and crafts all in one park.
The Welding Rodeo runs from 8am-5pm and the Fine Arts and Crafts Fair is from 10am-5pm.

On a picturesque Wisconsin Fall Saturday, more than 650 mountain bicyclists assembled on the John Muir Trails in the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest to participate in the Annual Fall Color Festival sponsored by Trek, Wheel and Sprocket, and the LaGrange General Store/Backyard Bike Shop.
The event raises money for the ever-popular John Muir trails and is hosted by WORBA .The Southern Kettle Moraine Forest DNR receives all of the proceeds after expenses for maintenance on the Mt. Bike trails (always last Sat in Sept)
