Tourism is Up in Wisconsin...and Jefferson County!
Tourism in Wisconsin has picked up steam since 2011, and visitors to Jefferson County have been no exception! Everywhere, we see positive signs that the economy is recovering and people are enjoying the events, activities and hospitality in our wonderful communities.
The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has received a nearly 20% increase in their funding for fiscal years 2011/2012, generated by bipartisan support for the additional appropriation. This increase came at a critical time, just as the tourism economy was showing signs of recovery after a prolonged recession.
Watch for commercials promoting Wisconsin and all of the great counties - but of course, our hearts beat strongest for Jefferson County!
