A quote from a recently received payer's mail:

" Our Customer Service Representatives are consistently complaining about your billing service as they sometimes call twice on the same day for the same member...It's a huge waste of time and money for your practice to have your billing service call NHP as much as they do on the same member for the same dates of service within a week's time."

Our Response:
If you paid on time, we would call less often.

EOB monitoring with Expected Allowed report

The Expected Allowed report shows the minimum, maximum, and average allowed amounts for each insurance company and procedure that you bill. This unique Vericle report is used in two ways:

1. Track down underpayments - By setting up the minimum amount expected per procedure from an insurance, Vericle will automatically flag and place all future claims paid below the minimum amount at the billing workbench for follow up.

2. Correct under charges on your fee schedule - Find procedures which are being paid at or near 100% of your fee schedule.  Consider increasing your fee schedule for these codes.

Go to Reports >> Claims >> Exp Allowed to view the report.

Vericle Academy is building a video tutorial for this report. In the meantime do not hesitate to search VA (Help >> Watch Videos) or join a Live Help Session (Help >> Live Help Calendar).
