What I like best about the Vericle Academy is that it provides a single
location for your collective training needs. Some of the highlights:
Link to training classes, quizzes, how-to videos and discussion forums
all directly from the Academy's home page. Try the interactive quizzes which are now
graded immediately, to measure your understanding of the material right
away. (Don't be afraid of the grading system...this Academy allows you
to retake the quiz as many times as necessary - we want you to
succeed!)
Of particular interest to me is the calendar for our Daily Live
Help Forums which is also displayed on the home page. By clicking into
the calendar, you can find out the time of day and who the moderator is
for any day of the month.
See you at the Academy! And be sure to let us know what you think.

New - Multi-Level Audit Management Process and Technology
Billing Precision's new audit management module automatically selects a percentage of claims worked by each team at the end of the day for first level audit. The claims are tracked via a special-purpose quality assurance (QA) workbench that ensures that all of the selected claims are reviewed and flagged as pass or fail. The audit is
Multifunctional: it includes both data entry and insurance follow up functions. Claims that fail the audit are automatically routed back to the team's workbench for rework. Once an audit fails, the next audit sample is increased.
Multilevel: it progresses from original team to audit team, to SPOC. Claims that pass the audit are re-sampled, and a percentage of the passed claims are selected for re-audit by a third-party auditing team.
This automated multilevel audit feature of the audit process distinguishes Billing Precision from billing services that typically have only one team checking claims for appropriate action.
Caveat: all processes, and especially those involving humans, are less than 100% error-free.
Customers are reminded that they must periodically review Vericle's records, and reconcile their bank accounts with Vericle at least once every month.

NEW - PIP System Adjustment Process
It is configured by two settings on the provider account, modifiable from the Provider Settings tab:- Pip Region - should be set to the region which the provider is under PIP contract
- Pip System Adjustment Start Date - the date against which the system shall compare the service date of the claim. If the service date is after the adjustment start date the system will handle adjustments.
The system, if handling PIP, will take the following actions:- Check if the sum of adjustments on the claim = 0. If not then the rest of the steps are skipped
- Adjust transactions on PIP claim down to the PIP fee schedule for the selected region
- Adjust down to PIP capitation amount in selected region
A separate process monitors adjustments made by users on claims that would otherwise be handled by the system based on the above settings. Each claim found will be REJECTED and a ticket will be created. Accounts under a provider setup with a PIP region should still be worked if the service date is before the PIP System Adjustment Start Date.

Top 5 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) advantages:
Unlike many practice management systems, Vericle is equipped to receive ERAs. ERA allows:
- Automated reconciliation with claims and charges
- Immediate update
- Elimination of human error at the data entry and at the reconciliation stages
- Less work on data entry and more focus on follow up
- Provider does not need to fax EOBs to billing service company
To make sure you use ERAs instead of EOBs, check your reconciliation report to see if your checks are being entered manually via a PDF file or automatically via an 835 file, and call your SPOC if in doubt.

Ratings
To help craft the service and the system, we rely on our customers. The requests for feedback and rating are now placed in Vericle's Help, in Vericle Academy, and in emails.
The quick ratings and surveys pertain to training content (instructional videos and classes), individual SPOCs, technology, integration, and overall service.
Do you have an idea? Visit Feature Requests (Wish List) on Vericle System Help and add a discussion item on the bottom.
