Bishop Palmer Visits Conference Office
Staff prays with new bishop Bishop Gregory V. Palmer, new West Ohio bishop starting September 1, visited the conference center two days last week to meet with the Cabinet, staff and other conference leaders.  After meeting the staff - most for the first time -  the staff surrounded the new bishop with prayers for his transition and ministry here. In his message of greeting, Bishop Palmer shared his excitement for the opportunity to serve in West Ohio and continue the outstanding ministry already in progress. The Bishop and Mrs. Palmer also toured the conference center and visited their new home in Worthington.
Methodists Join in Olympic dreams
All along the length and breadth of the United Kingdom, Methodists have been running in the official Olympic torch relay, serving up perfect cups of properly brewed tea to visitors, and presenting official arts events for the year-long "Cultural Olympiad" - a major international festival of arts and culture. Among those selected to carry the Olympic torch in the North of England was Tom Clayton, a 26-year-old Methodist. [read more]

2012 Festival of Sharing
Church World Service Kits The 2012 Festival of Sharing will be held on September 29 this year at Otterbein University Campus Center.  West Ohio local churches have supported this outreach for years with participation in the day's festivities and by providing needed health kits, school kits, emergency clean-up buckets, and baby care kits.   

Please see the attached flyer for more information. Contact your district office for information on kit drop off locations in your area.
