Lent is more that just "giving up" | During Lent at Malta United Methodist Church in West Ohio, the theme for morning worship children's messages was "The Heifer Project". Each week children learned about different animals and how the giving of these animals would help children/families around the world. They learned that Lent is not about just "giving up" something but also about DOING something for someone else to remember what Jesus did for us. They raised over $1,200 to purchase animals via The Heifer Project. |
