Char and I recently returned from leading a VIM team from West Ohio to Kamina in the North Katanga Conference in Africa, one of our mission partners.

The team was there to experience the Wings of the Morning aviation ministry in anticipation of our Love First Miracle Offering at Lakeside in June.
While many of you were prayer walking to the Four Corners of the World here in West Ohio, our group had the opportunity to visit and walk in and pray with one of those four corner ministries.
Upon our return, I learned that together we have walked over 36,000 miles - more than completing one entire cycle of walking to the four corners of our world-wide mission partnerships. And it's only March! Way to go, team! I am impressed and excited for what this means for our own spiritual and physical health. [click here to read more] |

Young adult Call to Action feedback sought |
A new blog, youngumspeak.blogspot.com, has been created to facilitate discussion among young people about the pending Call To Action legislation to be voted on at General Conference 2012 in Tampa, FL. Based on a recent Twitter conversation about the lack of young people's input and feedback in response to the legislation, the website was started as a "grassroots movement" by several young adults who are also General Conference delegates. The site is an open forum, and anyone is encouraged to submit a response. |

Two West Ohio United Methodist schools honored with Presidential service awards |
The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll highlights the role colleges and universities play in solving community problems and placing more students on a lifelong path of civic engagement. Recognized are institutions that achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes in the communities they serve. The 2012 recipients were announced recently includes two Ohio United Methodist affiliated schools - Otterbein University as a finalist for the top award, Ohio Wesleyan University was honored with distinction. |
