VIMOhio Wesleyan University (OWU), one of five United Methodist afilliated institutions of higher education in West Ohio, was named one of six Presidential Awardees in the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college and university can receive for its commitment to service-learning and fostering civic engagement.The Corporation for National and Community Service, which administers the annual Honor Roll award, recognized the university and its students in the category of "General Service" for their impact on issues from poverty and hunger to human rights and environmental justice. [more]

Annual meeting and convocation of UM Historical Society of Ohio

If so, the West Ohio Conference Office of Next Generations Leadership currently has multiple scholarship opportunities available for you. Scholarships are awarded on a combination of academic merit and past church leadership. There are also scholarships available specifically to support the needs of an ethnic minority student.
