| Churches Rethink Church |
 Park Avenue UMC has been having a block party for several years at their church and for awhile it did very well. We had lots of games, dunking booths, our praise band set down good licks, the men grilled and some people from the neighborhood people would stop by to see what was happening. We even had plenty of volunteers. But after several years, our block party had begun to wane. Volunteers had fallen off and the people of the neighborhood stopped coming by.  Offered annually June to August, the Ethnic Young Adults Summer Internship program is designed for young adults, between the ages of 18 and 22, representing the five ethnic caucuses of The United Methodist church.
