DELL Diversity Group Builds With Austin Habitat in Devonshire Village

AUSTIN, Texas (September 27, 2008) - For the second year in a row, DELL's Diversity Initiative is sponsoring a special work day on an Austin Habitat for Humanity home in their new Devonshire Village neighborhood.

Volunteers from Dell's Diversity Initiative networking groups will assist in the construction of an affordable, energy efficient Austin Habitat home. The volunteers will work hand in hand with the Garcia Family, who will soon call 6106 Devonshire Cove their new home. Once complete, the Garcia Family will purchase the home with a zero-interest Austin Habitat mortgage loan.

"Dell knows that part of being a good neighbor lies in giving back to our communities. Our employees around the world and here in Central Texas are continually making us proud but supporting great organizations like Habitat for Humanity with their time and effort," says Bryant Hilton, corporate responsibility spokesman, Dell Inc.

"We're thrilled to have the DELL Diversity group back as a sponsor. Without the generosity of groups like this, who provide both donations and their own volunteers hands, the work of Austin Habitat for Humanity would not be possible," says Michael Kellerman, director of External Relations at Austin Habitat.

Volunteers will converge on 6106 Devonshire Cove in East Austin at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

About Austin Habitat for Humanity
At Austin Habitat, we know that together we can be the change we need. We can change lives.

We have served the Austin community since 1985, building more than 225 new affordable homes with low income families. Homes are built with volunteer labor and community funding, and sold to our home buyers with zero-interest mortgage loans. Each home buyer participates in financial education programs and contributes approximately 400 hours of "sweat-equity."
