 On August 8, we are proud to be launching a new
affordable neighborhood, Devonshire Village. Until this week, we planned to
inaugurate the new community by building three new homes. Due to unfortunate
circumstances, the funding we secured for the third house, Garcia family home,
fell through.
We need your help today to raise the $60,000 needed to build
the Garcia family home.
The Garcias have worked extremely hard toward their
dream of owning a home. They've put in over 350 hours of "sweat equity" and
taken 24 homeownership courses already - even before construction on their home
begins. The Garcias, a family of six, currently live in a two-bedroom apartment in a
crime-ridden section of Austin. Through their hard work and their
determination to create a better future, the Garcias are close to their
dream.
