April Newsletter ..... Paul Anderson, Editor

What should I be doing in April?
April is an important month. In Canada, it is usually the month when we stick our heads out of our winter burrows and return to the road on our bikes. In Calgary, it has been a pretty mild winter, but April is often a month of grave disappointment as sunny days are often followed by snowy ones and we must begrudgingly return to indoor training. This month we start some triathlon specific training and also focus on getting some saddle time - see our training plan below. This month we have lots of exciting news. In this issue you will hear about the selection of our host hotel, Ironman Canada qualifying spots and new sponsors for our swim and bike course. We have some amazing opportunities to those who have registered earlier for the race this year (see below). If you haven't registered (yet) you should plan to do so before April 15th! We hope you enjoy this issue of our PB e-Zine and hope your training is going well. If you have questions or suggestions for the May Newsletter, please email me at ironmancalgary@gmail.com.

The Personal Best Training Program |
April is the start of more specific triathlon training. The changes are subtle because we want you to ease into it. April is not the time to shock your body and risk injury but it is the time to start training more like a triathlete.
