Pitbull Artist Spotlight
Armando Cristian Perez is the legal name of the songwriting, rapping and song-producing sensation otherwise known as Pitbull. Pitbull will be gracing The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion stage Thu., Aug. 2 as part of his Planet Pit World Tour. This tour comes just a year after the artist's successful Planet Pit album that features the popular songs, "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)" and "Give Me Everything." His show is sure to make you dance and groove in your seat! The entertainer was born to Cuban parents in Miami and after experiencing a troubled childhood has become a successful musician. Pitbull has released seven studio albums and songs like "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," "Krazy," "Hotel Room Service," and "Go Girl" are just a few of the entertainer's club hits. The artist also has had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest hip-hop and R&B performers of our generation, such as T-Pain, Jennifer Lopez, Lil Jon and LMFAO. Besides a successful career in music, Pitbull is also a self-proclaimed actor and the face of a few household brand names. He has had his voice featured in "Scarface: The World is Yours" and in 2013, will appear in the film "Epic." His music is also associated with the Dr. Pepper "Vida 23" campaign and, alongside Rihanna, his face is featured in the Kodak "So Kodak" campaign. Come dance along to Latin beats and funky hip-hop fusion at the Planet Pit World Tour this Thursday at 8 p.m. Preferred parking is sold out.
