Celebrate America's favorite pastime at The Art of Baseball with the Houston Symphony at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion April 25.

Celebrate America's Favorite Pastime with The Art of Baseball April 25

Take me out to the symphony for The Art of Baseball featuring the Houston Symphony April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at The Pavilion. Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Woodforest National Bank. This event also is sponsored in part by Rico's Restaurants and Houston Family Magazine. Tickets are not required for free seating.     

Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite baseball team jersey or Astros attire to The Art of Baseball. 
 

 

This major league event features the best music from the ballpark including "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," "National Game March" and more. "Voice of the Houston Astros" and Hall of Famer Milo Hamilton joins the symphony to narrate "Casey at the Bat."    

 

During the concert, a special live art performance takes place with CISD art students and ORWALL baseball players creating a one-of-a-kind painting relating to the evening's program. This art performance is in conjunction with BAM! (Because Art Matters!) and The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council.

 

Guests are welcome to have a picnic in their seat or on the hill at The Art of Baseball. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion. Sitting on the hill? Lawn chairs also are provided free for this event! Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Hats Off to Reading Celebration in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent. Other pre-concert activities in the Fidelity Investments Plaza begin at 6 p.m. (read more below).

Offer only available at The Pavilion Box Office, not at any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone or online. Limit four half-price orchestra tickets per coupon. Before the Show
 

Come to the concert early to celebrate reading and the arts! Prior to the Houston Symphony's performance, the annual Hats Off to Reading Celebration, an event that promotes student literacy and a love of reading, takes place in House of Blues Hospitality Tent from 5:30-6:45 p.m. This event, sponsored by the Reading Odyssey Committee, a partnership between Montgomery County Memorial Library System, Conroe ISD librarians, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Library, Chick-fil-A, Scholastic Books and The Pavilion, is free and open to the public. Children can take home a free book and participate in fun activities such as a book walk, coloring contest, hat making and face painting.
