Performing Arts Season Subscribers Meet the Conductor

Prior to the Houston Symphony's performance of Brahms' Violin Concerto Sept. 15 at The Pavilion, Performing Arts Season Subscribers had a private meet and greet with Houston Symphony Music Director Hans Graf, conductor for the evening. Also, special guest violinist, James Ehnes, joined the event. Meet and greets are one of the many perks of being an arts subscriber!

Artist Spotlight: Def Leppard

Rock out to Def Leppard live in concert as they return to The Pavilion Sept. 23 with special guest Heart.

With Joe Elliott on vocals, Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen on guitar, Rick "Sav" Savage on bass and Rick Allen on drums, Def Leppard has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide and has won two prestigious Diamond Awards. They continue to be one of the driving forces in rock music today. Def Leppard

Def Leppard emerged on the music scene in the late 1970's and soon became one of the definitive rock bands of the 1980's. "On Through the Night," the band's full-length debut album, was released in 1980 and instantly became a hit in the U.K. and reached number 51 on the charts in the U.S. That year, the band toured Britain and America, playing their own shows and also opening for acts such as Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest. Their next album, "High 'n' Dry," released in 1981 and became their first platinum album in the U.S. With the help of MTV and their good looks, their music videos made them into true stars.

Venture back into the era of 1980's hard rock on Sept. 23 for Def Leppard with Heart at The Pavilion. This show was previously scheduled for July 22. All tickets purchased for the July 22 date will be honored on Sept. 23. Tickets are still available here.

Want to win four lawn tickets to the show? Visit The Pavilion's Facebook page here  and enter to win. Only one entry per person. The winner will be drawn at random from the entries on Sept. 22 at 4 p.m. and notified via phone or email. The tickets will be available at Will Call at The Pavilion Box Office the night of the event.
