Ballet: Rush, Choreographer: Christopher Wheeldon, Dancer(s): Karina Gonzalez & Joseph Walsh, Photograph: Amitava Sarkar

One of Europe's most in-demand dance makers, Jorma Elo, joins Houston Ballet for his first time with the creation of "ONE/end/ONE," a performance that connects modern fashion to the classicism of the dance in terms of movement and music.  The second ballet, "Falling Angels," is a part of Jiri Kylian's black-and-white ballets which is influenced by surrealism and minimalism. The performance concludes with Christopher Wheeldon's "Rush," a dance embracing hierarchy with a corps de ballet of ten dancers who support and frame two principles and four soloists.

At the performance, have a picnic in your seat or on the hill. Free lawn chairs are available for this and other applicable performing arts events. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion.  Come early for pre-performance activities starting at 7 p.m. Read more below.
