A Must-See Rock Symphony at The Pavilion July 2!
Enjoy an evening of classic rock music with a symphonic edge at The Music of The Eagles with the Houston Symphony July 2 at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Gates open at 7 p.m.
Bridging the gulf between rock 'n' roll and classical music, the Houston Symphony performs The Music of The Eagles. Amplified by a full rock band and accompanied by singers Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and John Hines, creator Brent Havens conducts the ensemble as they capture The Eagles' amazing vocal harmonies. Surrounded by the orchestra in a concert rich with melodies, this trio performs some of The Eagles' greatest hits including "Heartache Tonight," "Witchy Woman," "Desperado," "Take it Easy" and many others.
Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Insperity and Devon Energy. Tickets are not required for free seating. Pre-concert activities begin at 7 p.m. in the Fidelity Investments Plaza. See details below.

Continue the Fun at the FREE Star-Spangled Salute July 3 at The Pavilion
Return to The Pavilion July 3 at 8 p.m. for the free Star-Spangled Salute presented by The Woodlands Development Company. This Independence Eve spectacular features a selection of patriotic favorites, American classics, and of course, Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" complete with cannons from atop the hill. Tickets are not required for this event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski, the symphony performs a variety of traditional favorites including "Fanfare and Star-Spangled Banner," "Service Medley," "God Bless America," March from "Midway" and "Liberty for All." Special guests at the event are Space Station Expedition 35 Commander Chris Hadfield and the Pearl Hall Elementary Children's Choir.
