Houston Symphony's Out of This World concert is coming to a stage near you at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion April 20.

  Blast Off With Out of This World
April 20 at The Pavilion 

Three, two, one...lift off! On The Pavilion's stage, not so far away, a symphony orchestra getsRobert Franz ready to launch into symphonic space with conductor Robert Franz. Buckle up for a visit to the planets and stars at Out of This World April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Your voyage through musical space includes music from "Stars Wars" and "E.T." Blast off into space with great music from the Houston Symphony.

Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Hats Off to Reading Celebration in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent. Other pre-concert activities in the Fidelity Investments Plaza begin at 6 p.m. (read more below).

Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of The Wortham Foundation (tickets are not required for free seating). Picnics welcome (no outside beverages).

Before the Show

Come to the concert early to celebrate reading and the arts! Prior to the Houston Symphony's performance, the annual Hats Off to Reading Celebration, an event that promotes student literacy and a love of reading, takes place in House of Blues Hospitality Tent from 5:30-6:45 p.m. This event, sponsored by the Reading Odyssey Committee, a partnership between Montgomery County Memorial Library System, Conroe ISD librarians, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Library, Chick-fil-A, Scholastic Books and The Pavilion, is free and open to the public. Children can take home a free book and participate in fun activities such as a book walk, coloring contest, hat making and face painting.
