Winner of the 2011 Audi A5 Convertible Claims His Prize
And the winner is...Two lucky winners were drawn at The Pavilion's "Saturday Night Live" gala Feb. 26, each for purchasing a winning raffle ticket prior to the event. The first name drawn was that of Phil Wedemeyer (pictured in car), who was not present at the gala. Wedemeyer won the 2011 Audi A5 Convertible donated by Audi of America. The second name drawn was that of Gerald Glenn, who won two first-class tickets on United Airlines (formerly Continental Airlines, official airline of The Pavilion). A total of 616 raffle tickets were sold prior to and at the event. The 617th ticket was auctioned off at the gala for $7,000, bringing the raffle proceeds to $68,600 benefiting The Pavilion's 2011 performing arts and educational outreach programs. Arts Spotlight: Houston Symphony's "Let the Good Times Roll" - The Music of Ray Charles May 26
The Houston Symphony presents "Let the Good Times Roll" - The Music of Ray Charles May 26 at 8 p.m. Under the direction of Michael Krajewski, this performance features special guest, Ellis Hall, as he performs music from the late, great Ray Charles. A former prot�g� of Charles, Hall pays tribute to his friend in a concert dedicated to his music and memory with hits like "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "Hit the Road Jack."
Pre-concert activities in the Fidelity Investments Plaza begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (tickets not required for free seating). Picnics are welcome (no outside beverages). For more information, click here.
