, takes The Pavilion stage Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Little Big Town and Randy Montana open for a night of great country music.
Sugarland began as a trio from Atlanta in 2002 with lead singer Jennifer Nettles, songwriter Kristen Hall and musician Kristian Bush. Their first independent release was "Premium Quality Tunes," an EP of demo recordings. After successful live performances, they signed with Mercury Records and released their multi-platinum album, "Twice the Speed of Life," in 2004.
Their second album, "Enjoy the Ride," was released in 2006. Hall left the group soon after the album was released. In 2008, Nettles and Bush co-produced their next album, "Love on the Inside," creating three chart-topping singles.
In 2009, Sugarland continued their success as "Love on the Inside" reached platinum status. They starred in a prime-time network special called "Live on the Inside," which resulted in a live album of the same name, won Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Performance and released their first Christmas album, "Gold and Green."
Their newest album, "The Incredible Machine," embraces new ideas and focuses on the growth of the duo. "We are in a place of discovery," Nettles says. "It is the essence of who we are as people in this band. There is never a moment where we think, 'This is good enough.' There's always a place for growth."
