HOBBlues SchoolHouse fittingly performs in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent. A live, interactive musical presentation takes participants on a musical journey tracing the evolution of the blues musical form from its roots in African musical traditions through its emergence and evolution as unique American folk music and its influence on other forms of popular contemporary music, including jazz, R&B, rock and roll, soul, funk and rap. The presentation encourages participants to consider the role of both individuals and movements in bringing about social transformation and musical innovation.

 Ferdy

Hudson Vagabond Puppet's Ferdinand the Bull is on the Pepsi Main Stage and is based on the classic tale by Munro Leaf and illustrations by Robert Lawson. It's the story of the bull who wouldn't fight told in a narrated ballet with a larger-than-life bull, masked dancers, and specialized mechanical figures. Each scene brings to life one of the pages of the book and the puppets and scenery are based as closely as possible on the illustrations in the book. After the program, students will get involved in an on-stage demonstration of conflict resolution techniques without violence.
