Featured Artist: Shinedown
Shinedown headlines The Bud Light Weenie Roast Aug. 21 at The Pavilion at 5 p.m. The bill also includes Chevelle, Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust and 10 Years.
Frontman Brent Smith formed the band with drummer Barry Kerch in 2001 in Jacksonville, Fla. and quickly joined Atlantic Records with guitarist Jasin Todd and bassist Brad Stewart. Their debut album, "Leave a Whisper," was released in 2003 and went platinum soon after. "Us and Them," their second album, was released in 2005 and went gold.
Shinedown went through lineup changes in 2008 and now includes Eric Bass on bass and former touring guitarist Zach Myers as a permanent member. Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo, who's worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, the Goo Goo Dolls and Kid Rock, joined the band to produce 2008s "Sound of Madness." The band contributes the new layered sound in their newest album to Cavallo.
"He brought to the table not only knowledge of music in general but a lot of patience and a real comfortable environment," Kerch said.
Hear music from Shinedown along with other great alternative rock artists Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. Lawn tickets for The Bud Light Weenie Roast are sold out, but reserved tickets are still available here. For additional information, click here.

Featured Artist: Goo Goo Dolls
The Goo Goo Dolls close out a weekend of great shows at The Pavilion Aug. 22. Switchfoot and Green River Ordinance are opening acts and start the evening at 7 p.m.
The Goo Goo Dolls formed in 1986 in Buffalo, N.Y., because they were looking for something to pass the time.
Lead singer/guitarist John Rzeznik states, "Somewhere in there we sort of figured out how to write songs." Their third album, "Hold Me Up," released in 1990, defined the sound of the band. Their first hit song was "Name" in 1995, released off of their fifth album, "A Boy Named Goo." The album sold more than two million copies and the Goo Goo Dolls began touring in support of their success.
In 1998, their single, "Iris," which appeared on the "City of Angels" soundtrack and the band's sixth album, "Dizzy Up the Girl," spent a year on the Billboard charts and stayed at number one for 18 weeks. They proved themselves to be more than a one hit wonder. Their momentum continued with the 2002 release of "Gutterflower" and 2006s "Let Love In" with the chart-topping single "Better Days."
The Goo Goo Dolls have four Grammy nominations, 13 consecutive top 10 multi-format hit songs and more than 10 million albums sold. Currently, the band is touring in support of their ninth studio album, "Something for the Rest of Us."
Enjoy the classics and hear new music from the Goo Goo Dolls Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. This event is reserved seating only. For more information and to buy tickets, click here.
Check out the House of Blues Hospitality Tent now open at The Pavilion before, during and after the show! It opens at 5 p.m. Aug. 22 for the Goo Goo Dolls and remains open approximately one hour after the concert. Admission is free for all concert-goers. Enjoy air-conditioning, private restrooms, a full-service bar, appetizer menu and live video-feed of the concert, when available.
