Aerosmith takes the stage at The Pavilion Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. with special guests Sammy Hagar and The Wabos. Aerosmith's tour, "Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock," begins July 23 in Oakland, Calif.

The band started with a tour in South America, then made their way to Europe, and are now coming back home to the United States. "The band is tighter than ever, America we're coming to rock your world," said Joey Kramer, drummer for Aerosmith.

Aerosmith came together in the 1970s, setting the style and sound of hard rock and heavy metal for the next two decades.

Aerosmith celebrates their 40^th anniversary this year, and they have a lot to celebrate. They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, recipients of four Grammy's, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and 12 MTV Video Music Awards.  They have sold over 150 million albums, earned scores of multi-platinum albums and maintain a large army of millions of fans.

It opens at 5 p.m. Aug. 5 for Aerosmith and remains open approximately one hour after the concert. Admission is free for all concert-goers.
