Featured Artist: Aerosmith
by Jaclyn Anderson
Aerosmith takes the stage at The Pavilion Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. with special guests Sammy Hagar and The Wabos. Aerosmith's tour, "Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock," begins July 23 in Oakland, Calif.
The band started with a tour in South America, then made their way to Europe, and are now coming back home to the United States. "The band is tighter than ever, America we're coming to rock your world," said Joey Kramer, drummer for Aerosmith.
Aerosmith came together in the 1970s, setting the style and sound of hard rock and heavy metal for the next two decades. Talented Steven Tyler, lead singer, wrote their hit song "Dream On" and showed that the band was capable of both rock and roll and power piano ballads, which made them extremely popular.
Aerosmith celebrates their 40th anniversary this year, and they have a lot to celebrate. They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, recipients of four Grammy's, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and 12 MTV Video Music Awards. They have sold over 150 million albums, earned scores of multi-platinum albums and maintain a large army of millions of fans.
Rock out to the sounds of Aerosmith Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at The Pavilion. Gates open at 6 p.m. For more information and to buy tickets, click here.
Check out the House of Blues Hospitality Tent now open at The Pavilion before, during and after the show!
It opens at 5 p.m. Aug. 5 for Aerosmith and remains open approximately one hour after the concert. Admission is free for all concert-goers. Enjoy air-conditioning, private restrooms, a full-service bar, appetizer menu and live video-feed of the concert, when available. The House of Blues Hospitality Tent is open for most Live Nation shows at The Pavilion. For more information, click here. |
The Pavilion Has Gone Social!
The newest addition to The Pavilion's social media initiatives is Flickr, an online photo management and sharing application.
