The Pavilion Partners Raises $35,000 for Educational Programs at "Hot Legs" Fund-Raiser
By Kacie Broadhurst

The Pavilion Partners Pre-Concert Dinner & Fund-Raiser was held July 24 prior to the Rod Stewart concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Guests enjoyed the hottest party of the year while supporting educational outreach programs offered by The Pavilion, including Musical Scores, Children's Festival and Fine Arts Education Day. The Pavilion's Board of Directors and The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Pavilion, invited guests to this "Hot Legs" event for a night of classic pop rock that raised approximately $35,000 for The Pavilion's educational initiatives.

Tickets for the event included covered reserved seating to the Rod Stewart concert, VIP club passes, complimentary beer and margaritas, and dinner provided by Lupe Tortilla. Emmy Award-winning reporter and anchor for KTRK 13 Eyewitness News, Art Rascon, served as the honorary auctioneer for the evening.

With one of the greatest and most distinctive voices in rock history, Rod Stewart put on a memorable performance, entertaining the audience with all of his classic hits. The concert was the perfect ending to an evening full of good friends, great food and plenty of fun in support of the arts.
