Greetings!
We wanted to remind you that June 20th is World Refugee Day 2008.  Not only is this is a time for us to reflect on the plight of the millions of refugees around the world, but it is also a call to action.

As many of you know, Children Creating Bridges was part of a humanitarian delegation that traveled to Syria this past May.  During our time in Syria, we were able to meet with Iraqi refugees and hear their stories.  Many of you have asked how YOU can help the Iraqi refugees.

There are simple things that you can do!

  • Write to members of Congress to let them know the Iraqi refugee crisis needs to be addressed immediately.  We have posted tips on composing your letters to Congress at childrencreatingbridges.org
  • Educate others about the plight of the Iraqi refugees
  • Have members of our delegation present a PowerPoint presentation about the Iraqi refugee crisis at your organization
  • Contact us about how your youth organization, club or school can participate in our programs that benefit the Iraqi refugee children
  • DONATE to the Children Creating Bridges Iraqi Refugee Fund

Please feel free to forward this email to others.

Thank you for your support!
