Jack Taylor was asked the secret to his longevity in ministry and he responded "I got up the same number of times I got knocked down." You may not know who Jack Taylor is, because he is part of the underground elect; ministers who are doing great things on earth but more famous in heaven. He's helped a lot of people but he's also gone through a lot of trials and tribulations. When I was going through one of my trials I recalled words Jack said to God after losing a second wife to cancer in a gruesome battle. He said "God if You treat Your friends like this then I understand why You have so few of them." I recalled those words because I could relate. Well wouldn't you know he preached that same week I had those thoughts, and shared how he'd gone through another heart attack and more pain and suffering. Yet it was then that Jack reminded us that God allows us to go through so His glory can shine through us, and that breakthroughs often look like breakdowns at first.
