Have you ever felt like you trusted God and He let you down? Did you ever feel like you gave Jesus control of the wheel and He drove your life into a ditch? If you've never felt that way then I am happy for you, but before you judge those who have, realize it's possible you just haven't faced that kind of hard testing yet; or maybe you have never stepped out of the boat into the deep waters. Regardless, what does one do when they've trusted God and find themselves in a ditch? Disappointed with God's choices and longing for change? 

Well one can decide to take control back from God. One can have the attitude "God You had Your chance, now I'm going to do this my way." You can put limits on your relationship with God. You can say "I will only go so far with You." You can say "Stay out of certain areas of my life." But if God is not Lord of all then is He Lord at all? Once you start saying no to God when does it stop? The truth is putting limits on God is really putting limits on ourselves. I've said before it's the person that gives God everything that God can put anywhere and give anything. We have to realize that we are being tested, and when we say no to God, we're really saying no to possibilities. We're saying no to the wonderful things God wants to do in us and in our lives. It's not about whether we can trust God, but about how much God can trust us. God understands when disappointments and challenges cause us to question His plans. Be honest with Him, and ask Him to help you trust Him.
