Right now I have several reasons to take time off from writing devotionals. If I shared my reasons I think you'd agree that they are valid and justifiable. But it's also an opportunity to be an overcomer. It's a chance for me to persevere in the face of opposition, a chance to give sacrificially, and to hopefully encourage others. If we only answer the call when it's easy and everything is going well then we haven't really done anything spectacular. It's when the opposition is greatest that we get to build our character and give God and others meaningful sacrifices.

God's Beloved, when opposition comes I pray that you will persevere with whatever God has put on your heart to do. The enemy and even well-meaning loved ones may tell you to quit, or back off; that it's too hard to continue. God never said it would be easy; His promise was that He would be with us.
