Ok I was all ready for bed and had no intention of sharing a message today but God would not let me alone about this message. I don't expect this to be a very popular message but I think it's necessary. God wants me to talk about giving. Anointed Messages no longer accepts donations so I can say this assuring you that I'm not trying to get your money. There are some pitfalls that keep us from giving, and I believe God wants me to talk about this now because harvest is coming and those without enough seed in the ground will miss out.

One of the pitfalls is thinking what we have is too little. Many times people are waiting for God to bless them with great wealth so they can then bless others abundantly. Well it doesn't work like that. God expects us to give according to what we have, and as we are good stewards He entrusts us with more [Matt 25]. Often we think "I couldn't possibly give so little, what I have isn't enough;" "It won't make a difference" or "I will insult the person/group I am giving to with such a small amount." If everyone who was being blessed through Anointed Messages had given just $1 there would have been more than enough to meet all the needs, and trust me I was grateful for every penny received. Instead of giving what we can afford to give we often hold back out of fear and pride. Yes I think it's pride, because we want to impress others with our giving. We want to give gifts that will wow others. We want to make sure we give enough so we're not embarrassed. With all due respect, is it more impressive to give nothing at all? And we don't give to impress others; we give in obedience and gratitude to God. If someone wrongly judges you because of the amount you give then that's between them and God. If you hold back because you are afraid or ashamed to give what you have then that's between you and God.

God's Beloved I pray you will be true to yourself and God in your giving. Look around you and see if there are places and people where God has put it on your heart to sow and you've been holding back. Don't wait until you have a mansion to share your home with others; be willing to share your humble dwelling and allow God to promote you. Don't wait for a million dollars before you start sowing seed or giving back to those who've given to you. Give as you are able from a pure heart. Don't let fear hold you back; God doesn't expect you to give more than you have.
