For a long time there have been virus emails circulating around. They usually have no subject, appear to come from someone in your address book and they contain a link. Well those emails don't actually come from people you know but from hackers, and if you click on the link you'll get a virus designed to destroy your computer. It made me think about how the enemy tries to use people we know to infect us with destructive thoughts and harmful words. Remember how Peter tried to argue with Jesus, and told Him that He would not die. Jesus knew that dying was part of God's will for the world. Jesus didn't argue with Peter; He recognized the source of those words. He rebuked satan and moved on. [Mark 8:32-33]

When I get those virus emails I delete them. I don't want them infecting my computer. I know they don't actually come from my friends; that's a deception. Likewise when someone tries to impart something that disagrees with the Word of God I need to delete it from my spirit. I shouldn't get mad at the person who said it anymore than I should get angry at the name on those virus emails. I need to just recognize it comes from another source; one bent on my destruction. Going one step further (and higher), I need to recognize that when God tells me something I must accept its truth, regardless of circumstances. If I recognize the Source as God I must recognize its truth.

God's Beloved I pray that you will recognize the source of everything that comes to you. I pray you will ignore and delete that which comes from a negative source intent on destroying you; and I pray you will receive whatever comes from God. May God increase our discernment.
