Journal Excerpt from many many days ago
Well I am sleepy so I won't go into a lot of stuff now but on the City on a Hill program they talked about the life of Mary the mother of Jesus. They made some excellent points; that
you'd think if God tells you that you're going to give birth to the Messiah that things would go perfectly for you. You'd expect an easy pregnancy, doors to just open, the royal treatment for one carrying the King of kings. That is what the natural mind expects, but that's not the reality. Mary had trouble from the beginning to the end of Jesus' life. She was rejected by her fianc, and we demand favor for great parking spaces but she couldn't even get a room at the inn so she had to give birth in a barn. And ultimately she was heartbroken as she watched her son die on a cross.
It was encouraging in the sense that it was the truth. The people who tell me that when it's God it always goes perfectly are the ones who bring condemnation. I'd rather somebody tell me the truth so I can be prepared. Walking with God isn't easy, and you will hurt often, but God will always be with you, and He's doing something in your soul and spirit so don't worry about your circumstances. The greater His plan the greater your pain and sacrifices. To whom much is given, much is required. Tell the truth. The people who say that it'll be easy in God's will make me feel like I missed Him. No I'm not the only one who obeyed God and found their hearts broken. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart- These, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 51:17 NKJV
[I "randomly" selected 2 paper Anointed Messages and received "Lord I trust You to protect me from emotional rejection" and "I LOVE YOU"]
Awww , at first I thought maybe I need to change that first message, maybe it's not accurate but the second one made me swoon. He is speaking to me. Well if you want to get acquainted with a man of sorrows get acquainted with brokenness.
