Don't confuse your agenda with God's agenda.

A Message from Anointed Messenger
Yesterday I shared that I was disappointed because I wanted a pretty blouse and every time I thought God was about to give me my blouse I found disappointment instead. I did finally get my blouse but the more important thing I got is not to confuse my agenda with God's agenda. I wanted a pretty blouse; that was my agenda. God led me to a store. That store had pretty blouses so I assumed I was there to get my pretty blouse. But I shouldn't make assumptions about God's motives. Maybe God led me to that store so I could witness to the sales clerk, or pray for the customers; or maybe God wanted someone there to pray for me or give me a Word (never think you're too saved to receive). Regardless if I am too focused on my agenda I may miss God's perfect will.
Anointed Family we all have agendas. We all have something we want and some goal(s) we want accomplished. Unfortunately human goals tend to be selfish and serve ourselves; whereas God's goals tend to be global and serve others. God does bless individuals with their heart's desires; He loves doing that, but God's ultimate agenda is to build His Kingdom with beloved Sons and Daughters who are like Christ. He's bringing heaven to earth. That means we have to not be selfish, to prefer others, and to go and make disciples. It's ok to go on a treasure hunt for a pretty blouse, or whatever you happen to desire, as long as you realize the true treasures are God's people, and helping the lost find their way back to God. Our agenda can't be to pamper our flesh (where no good thing lies) when God's agenda is Isaiah 61. If we were all seeking God's agenda we'd all get blessed. I know my life is much more fun and exciting when I'm finding the anointed message in every mess and experience.
Anointed Family I pray that you'll seek God's agenda in all areas of your life. I pray when you find yourself in a situation you won't ask "What's in it for me?" but "Why does God have me in it?" |
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.
Luke 22:42 AMP
