A Word from Anointed Messenger
I am a dreamer. I like to daydream, I like to plan, I like to figure out how everything is going to work. As a writer (I also write novels and fiction), I like to come up with my own happy endings to my life stories. Well God is constantly reminding me that I am not the author nor the finisher of this life He has given me. Just when I think I have it all figured out and think God and I are on the same page He does something that totally upsets my story. What are You doing Lord? This is no longer a good story. You've ruined my book! Yes, sadly I have had those thoughts/conversations. Well I've got to believe that the Mastermind that created the universe can come up with a better story than I can. And I've got to trust that the God who loved me enough to die for me has a good plan for His protagonist. Really, He is the star in my novel and I must remember that the goal is for His glory to shine on every page. So I am always praying for God to deliver me from my way so He can have His way.
Joseph was a dreamer too. I think God likes for us to dream. He likes for us to think big and hope for happy endings; but like Joseph we may not like the way God chooses to bring our dreams to pass. Like Joseph we have to stay faithful and trust God, even when we find ourselves betrayed by family, falsely accused, wrongfully imprisoned or whatever else may happen along the way. If we'll trust God like Joseph did then God will be with us and we'll have favor, even in our prisons. May God bless you and have His way in your life. |
You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail.
Proverbs 19:21 NLT
Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, "Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed."
But Naaman went away angry and said, "I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than any of the waters of Israel? Couldn't I wash in them and be cleansed?" So he turned and went off in a rage.
