Monozukuri
Dear Friends,
At the kick-off for our latest build, the local Toyota president taught us a fantastic Japanese word, monozukuri, meaning to make something of value with your hands. At Habitat, people come to us with a diverse range of talents and gifts, from the volunteer who guides a family from application to move-in day, to the plumber who donates his labor, from the neighbor who reaches out to welcome our families, to the hardworking individuals out hammering nails and painting walls. Habitat is literally made up of thousands of wonderful volunteers who come together to make something of value...monozukuri
This past year I'm proud to say we accomplished our goal of finishing 10 homes for 10 wonderful families, more than our affiliate has ever completed in one year! For the next fiscal year we have set a tremendous goal of 14 homes and we need your help. Please join us in living out this vision of monozukuri
Thank you for helping to provide affordable housing for great, hard-working families here in Washtenaw County.

We would like to thank Big George's and NARI
for an outstanding evening of food, fun, and friendship!
Saturday, July 17, Big George's hosted a Rooftop Mediterranean BBQ with our friends from NARI, to benefit our organization. In addition to raising important funds, this benefit gave us the opportunity to welcome new people into the Habitat family.
Thank you to those who came out in support!
