Hawaii's Businesses Are Growing The Green Economy

Sustainable Business or Green Business is certainly in the news- everywhere you turn there is another article on "green business tips" or "10 simple things you can do to green your business." Most businesses, however, do not know how to effectively integrate sustainable business or triple bottom line strategies into their businesses in a profitable way.
 
Hawaii's businesses people can learn more about becoming a part of Hawaii's green economy in a webinar entitled "The Triple Bottom Line Business- A Deeper Shade of Green", taught by Andrea Dean.  Green business coach and consultant Andrea Dean demystifies sustainable business and teaches the basics of integrating sustainability into overall business strategy.  The Triple Bottom Line Webinar is being held on June 18th & 25th,  from 9:30-11:30 am.
 
The Triple Bottom line approach challenges business to operate with sustainability at their core by focusing simultaneously on the three bottom lines of economic prosperity, environmental protection, and social equity. The three bottom lines in Triple Bottom Line are often shortened to People, Planet and Profits or People, Planet and Prosperity.

The class is for business owners and managers who want to explore or deepen their commitment to social and environmental practices in business. Topics covered in The Triple Bottom Line Business- A Deeper Shade of Green include: the national and local green business movement, defining green business, creating a triple bottom line strategy, short and long term green gains, examples of local and national green business success, and resources.

Last Chance to take TIPS Trainer Certification for Avoiding Customer Alcohol-Related Problems

If your facility serves alcohol, the TIPS Server Program is a must in avoiding alcohol-related problems.  Prevent alcohol abuse, drunk driving, and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental people skills of your servers.  Learn intervention strategies for difficult situations. 

This 16 hour certification course is led by Dawn Freels, Master Trainer by Health Communications Inc., providers of the TIPS Training Program.  Certification allows managers & supervisors to train and certify their employees in the nation's leading alcohol prevention program.
