VITEC's College for Kids celebrates its 2nd year of service this March. College for Kids is a program specifically created to give students, grades 4th through 12th,  a preview of college activities and opportunities during their intercession weeks from their regular school. The next two sessions are already taking registration for 4th, 5th and 6th graders.  Sign up early, as seating is limited.
 
College for Kids immerses its students in theme-based instruction that provides an enriching and project-oriented curriculum. The students are supervised at all times in a safe, creative and interactive program. A hallmark of College for Kids' instruction is that skills and content are shared and reinforced by each instructor.

Intermediate & high school grades will have an opportunity to participate in our College for Kids Summer Program, which is open to grades 4-12.
 
 

 
A week of learning the 5 steps to writing better stories, word processing skill-building, along with experiencing a percussion band, unicycle riding, and yoga. Truly unique classes designed to engage your child in the creative process of writing and music along with the athletic skills of riding and yoga.



A week of creating various types of poetry-for both publication and recitation (a positive "Poetry Slam" competition) along with confidence-building "how to" skills that start each day. Guest speakers on pet care and pet grooming will bring practical, hands-on experiences to your child.  Storytelling, Hip Hop Dance and Chess II round out the week. Lots of fun and hands-on experiences.
 

Interested in increasing your computer skills?  Preparing for a new career in an office environment?  The VITEC Office Computing Certification Program will teach you the fundamental skills necessary to
master the standard workhouse computer programs, such as Word and Excel.  Build the confidence and skills to give you the leading edge in the job market.


Computer classes are open to both certificate & non-certificate seeking individuals.  Students who plan to enter the certification program must notify registrar at time of registration in order to be eligible.  Students must complete all required classes within a 24 month period to gain certification.
